Innogate to Silicon Valley

W3Futura will attend the “Innogate to Silicon Valley” program organized by Opinno (Open Innovation) and Espaitec (UJI). This innovation bridge stretched between spanish Science Parks and Silicon Valley offers a revolutionary exchange program for companies willing to expand to, or launch from USA.

The initiative is directed to Startups in tech sectors and facilitates the establishment of relations with companies, customers and investors from USA.

Due to its vision and goals, W3Futura has been one of the 4 companies selected to participate in this edition of the program, that will take place at the end of June / beginning of July 2011.

We will have the chance to present our ideas and projects to top level investors and mentors, visit and observe the internal operations of companies that are a reference in the Internet sector, as well as the option to attend conferences and workshops in places like VLAB or d.school at Stanford University, that will be without a doubt a priceless and valuable learning experience.

Interview to our CEO

The Young Bancaja Entrepreneurs Portal has published an Interview to our CEO, Jose Llisterri, where he explains how W3Futura started to become a reality.

Bancaja asked Jose to explain how the creation process of the company was in a context where Spain undergoes one of its worst financial crisis, as well as to try to encourage other young people to launch their venture.

Moving into University of Valencia Science Park

We have established our headquarters in the brand-new University of Valencia Science Park, an initiative to link university research and its scientific potential with the production system, and which environment is perfect to deploy the R&D projects we have on track. Having all the Technology Research Institutes at our disposal and open to collaborate working in common projects will help us develop our solutions.

With this, W3Futura becomes part of the tech-based companies member of the VLC/CAMPUS consortium, that aims to become a technology development focus with global projection.

Winners of the Bancaja Young Entrepreneurs Award

W3Futura, and its first online media idea, has been awarded with the Bancaja Young Entrepreneur Award XV Edition, in the category of Projects.

The Bancaja Young Entrepreneur Awards is a venture of the Bancaja Welfare Projects division intended to promote the development and start-up of enterprise projects, undertaken by young people under the age of 35, either individually or collectively. The awards belong to Bancaja’s strategy of supporting entrepreneurs, and goes hand-in-hand with other nationwide programs such as the Financial Solution for Young Entrepreneurs, where W3Futura has also been included.

With this award plus the inclusion in Bancaja’s financial program for young innovative companies, W3Futura will have the opportunity to raise a small round of Pre-Seed capital in order to incorporate the company and start developing its prototypes and business ideas.
